WRITING

I’ve secretly been a writer ever since I devoured the Emily Books by L. M. Montgomery as a kid. Emily was born to be a writer, and I loved the idea of being born to do something. These days I believe that I was born to wonder. And so a lot of my writing is basically just different versions of wondering with words on a page. Sure, sometimes I draw conclusions, but I think that even when things are “written in stone,” you can always still skip the stones into the ocean, or in my case, Lake Michigan. And after that, you can still dive back in and look for the stone if you want.

I’m not a secret writer anymore. I contribute to the Parent Voice, Magazine, and share via my own blog as well. I enjoy writing fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry. I also love writing stuff that I get to read aloud or perform.
